Mentorship Program
The mentorship program aims to connect new community foundation staff with seasoned professionals in the industry. The program will assist in transferring knowledge, skills, and industry insights, creating a supporting framework for communication, learning, and retention.
Qualifications:
Mentee:
- Up to three years in the community foundation field or
- Changed roles in the past 12 months
- 5 years or more in the community foundation field and
- Willingness to devote time and energy to mentee and
- Be accessible
Commitment:
Mentee:
- Come prepared with questions to discuss with your mentor
- Meet no less than quarterly
- Attend Mentee onboarding meeting prior to the conference
- Attend the 2024 FAOG Conference (meet with mentor)
- Serve as a mentor, not a consultant
- When applicable, direct mentee to FAOG resources, such as discussion forum/webinars
- Meet no less than quarterly

Notifications to all approved mentees and mentors will be sent via email by the end of July 2024.
